Minx nails

Haven't had the time the last couple of weeks to blog, but I wanted to share with you my fabulous minx nails.

There are so many effects to choose from and most salons do offer them. Perfect for a special occasion. Mine lasted for a week on my fingers, before they started looking untidy. I want to have them on my toes for next summer as they last a good 8 to 10 weeks!!

I have found some online which can be applied at home. I want to give it a go as regular trips to the salon would start costing me a fortune. I will let you know how I get on.

Here Goes............

Well, after what seems like forever, I have decided to venture back into the world of blogging. Loads of changes have happened, namely back to the day job, full time and cakes are on the back burner. I do miss the caking, hugely, but I have renewed my love for all things day job....... FASHION!!!

So, with the lovely Kate giving me the push to restart the blog with the emphasis on fashion..... here goes!!

new year, new start

A bit late but Happy New Year!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts for the past few months, the fashion side has taken over and I have been really busy.

I have decided to change my blog and focus more on the fashion side and a few product reviews thrown in.

My first review is the Slendertone Face. A few of my twitter pals were approached by the Slendertone PR and I thought I would be cheeky and ask for one too. I would have much rather had the abs one to review, after 2 kids my tummy could do with a little toning help. It arrived yesterday and is fully charged for my first session. I will be setting up a reviews tab on my blog and will be regularly posting my progress and how I am getting on with the Slendertone Face.

Shop update

I have re stocked more colouring wallets in my folksy shop. Really don't want to mention the 'C' word......... ok, will do it anyway......... 'Christmas'!!!!!

They will make perfect stocking fillers for your budding artists, also taking custom orders too.

It's been a while

Didn't realise how long it has been since my last post!!!!!

I have been really busy with fashion designing, but I haven't been neglecting the cakes. I have stopped taking photos of the repeat designs that customers have been asking for. All I seem to have made lately are present cakes, Tiffany box cake and iggle piggle cakes. I have attached 2 pics (please ignore the bad quality) of the cakes that I made for my beautiful children's birthdays recently.



This cake is Destiny the pop star fairy from the Rainbow magic series of books. My daughter absolutely adores these books.

I was really struggling for time on this cake and I felt like such a bad mum for not hand modelling Rory, but my son loved the fact that it was a toy on top which he could play with, so it all worked out in the end.

I have also neglected my folksy shop, but I will hopefully be adding lots of gorgeous things in the coming weeks, just in time for (dare I say it) Christmas............. perfect little stocking fillers!!!!!

Competition!!!!!!

How could I have totally forgotton my 1 year blog anniversary!!!!! Well, I had always planned to have a little competition, so, I suppose, it's better late than never ;o)
